Kelly Knaga is an artist and designer living and working in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Her works are investigations of natural and digital landscapes through the layering of shape, image, color, line and pattern. The use of color exploits historical and sometimes fictional references through anthropological studies, mapmaking, and storytelling.
She’s the Director of Design Education at Indiana University Northwest where she teaches strategy and design. She also get to work with amazing people and communities as the Executive Director for AIGA Chicago, and Founder of the Voices of Gary project.
She’s a constant advocate for Chicago’s creative community and design education through her work with AIGA Chicago, the AIGA National Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, and as the Producer of Chicago Design Week.
She’s always up for collaboration projects and meeting new people!
